Well I'm new so first off, hello to the community.

Secondly, I was wondering whether or not there are any Role Playing threads in this particular forum. I have RP'd on other forums in the past and found it to be quite fun. I think it would be fun to try it here in the Guild Wars world. I'll wait for some confirmation before I proceed with my ideas, but I hope they are intriguing to those who are of a like mind. Thanks for you time!

We haven't had any RP threads here. I'm guessing that it can quickly get rather messy and long, and would be easier to have it in a whole new forum of it's own. Still, it might be worth a try.
However, there's a thread for advertising that you want to rp ingame.

That has quite a bit of activity in it every now and then.

I can understand role-play ingame but how are you supposed to role-play on forums?..

Not that I'm into role-playing.

RPing on forums is actually very easy and the format lends itself well to it; I'm a big roleplayer but don't have an offline group to play with right now. On another forum we play tabletop games (full rules system and dice and all) with just some slight adjustments made for online play.

Not that I'm into role-playing.

Basically you just write for your character that you choose.

You fill out a character sheet: Name, profession, weapons, mini-bio, etc.

Then you write for the character you choose.

The key to this type of role playing is good storytelling. Also, keeping the number of players to a minimum of 4-7 is important. You don't want too many more because they tend to just die quickly.
